Effective date: October 14, 2026
We respect the rights of creators, and Jujutsu Kaisen exists because of them. If you believe material on jjkcharacters.net infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, this page explains how to have it removed. Our general position on copyright is in our disclaimer.
Filing a takedown notice
Send a written notice to contact@jjkcharacters.net with the subject line "DMCA Takedown". To be valid under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is fine).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- The exact URL(s) of the material on our site, and a description (for example "the image of Satoru Gojo on /characters/satoru-gojo/").
- Your contact details: name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
Please put "DMCA" in the subject line so your notice gets to the top of the pile. Attachments are fine.
What happens next
- We aim to acknowledge valid notices within 2 business days.
- Material identified in a valid notice will be removed or disabled promptly, usually within 2 to 3 business days.
- We may contact you if the notice is incomplete or unclear.
- For character images, we'll replace the image with a placeholder or licensed art rather than argue. We aren't interested in a fight with rights holders.
Counter-notice
If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court. In practice nearly everything on this site is written by us, so this rarely applies.
Misuse
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages. Please make sure the material is actually yours before you file.
Repeat infringement
The site has no user accounts or uploads. All content is published by us, and we remove infringing material on notice.
Non-US requests
We handle copyright complaints from any country the same way. Send the same information to contact@jjkcharacters.net.
