The JJK cast: who voices Jujutsu Kaisen characters
The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is made by MAPPA, and its Japanese voice cast has been mostly stable since Season 1 in 2020. The table below lists the voice actors we have checked for the main characters, in Japanese and in the English dub. Where we couldn't confirm an English dub credit, the table shows a dash rather than a guess.
Jujutsu Kaisen Japanese voice actors
Junya Enoki voices Yuji Itadori, and he carries a lot of the anime's emotional weight. The scenes after Shibuya, where Yuji is barely holding together, are some of the best voice work in the series. Yuma Uchida plays Megumi with a low, flat delivery that fits him perfectly, and Asami Seto gives Nobara her bite.
Yuichi Nakamura is Gojo, and his performance is a big part of why Gojo became the fandom's favourite: playful in one line, cold the next. Junichi Suwabe voices Sukuna, and it's the kind of casting that feels obvious once you've heard it.
The supporting Japanese cast is stacked with veterans. Takahiro Sakurai voices Geto, Kenjiro Tsuda voices Nanami, and Takehito Koyasu plays Toji. Megumi Ogata, best known to many anime fans for decades of lead roles, voices Yuta Okkotsu. Nobunaga Shimazaki plays Mahito, and Daisuke Namikawa is Choso.
JJK English dub cast
The English dub stars Adam McArthur as Yuji, Robbie Daymond as Megumi and Anne Yatco as Nobara. Kaiji Tang voices Gojo and Ray Chase voices Sukuna. On the adult side, David Vincent is Nanami, Lex Lang is Geto, Nicolas Roye is Toji and Lucien Dodge is Mahito. Kayleigh McKee plays Yuta and Allegra Clark plays Maki.
We've left a few English roles blank on purpose. We'd rather have a gap than a wrong credit, and dub casting for side characters is often reported inconsistently. If you want a specific minor role, the anime's end credits on Crunchyroll are the most reliable source.
Common JJK cast questions
Did the Japanese cast change between seasons?
Not for the main characters. The director changed from Sunghoo Park (Season 1 and the movie) to Shota Goshozono (Season 2), but the voice cast stayed the same.
Is the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie cast the same?
Yes. Megumi Ogata voices Yuta, Kana Hanazawa voices Rika, Mikako Komatsu is Maki, Koki Uchiyama is Inumaki and Tomokazu Seki is Panda, with Yuichi Nakamura and Takahiro Sakurai as Gojo and Geto.
Who voices Inumaki, given he barely talks?
Koki Uchiyama, and it's harder than it sounds. Inumaki speaks almost entirely in rice ball ingredients, so all the meaning has to come from tone.
Should you watch JJK subbed or dubbed?
Honestly, both are good. The Japanese cast is one of the strongest in recent shonen anime, and Nakamura's Gojo and Suwabe's Sukuna are hard to beat. The dub holds up much better than older anime dubs, and Kaiji Tang's Gojo has his own following. If you're watching for the first time, we lean towards the Japanese audio for Season 2. Shibuya leans so heavily on screaming and quiet grief that the original performances are worth hearing.
Performances worth listening for
A few scenes show off the Jujutsu Kaisen cast especially well, in either language.
Gojo's Hollow Purple in Hidden Inventory. Nakamura shifts Gojo's voice from cocky teenager to something almost giddy and frightening in the space of a scene. It's the moment the character clicks for a lot of viewers.
Sukuna in Shibuya. Suwabe barely raises his voice, which makes the destruction around him scarier. The English dub's Ray Chase goes for a similar restraint.
Nanami's last scene. We won't spoil it here, but Kenjiro Tsuda's delivery is the reason that episode wrecked so many people.
Yuji after Shibuya. Junya Enoki has to play a teenager at his lowest point for several episodes in a row. It's exhausting to watch in the best way.
Where you might know the JJK cast from
Plenty of the Japanese cast are big names in anime generally. Takahiro Sakurai (Geto) and Tomokazu Seki (Panda) have been leads and major supporting voices for decades. Megumi Ogata (Yuta) is famous to many fans as Shinji Ikari in Neon Genesis Evangelion. Kana Hanazawa (Rika) is one of the most recognisable voices of her generation.
We've kept this to roles we're confident about. If you want a full credit list for any voice actor, their agency's official page or a database like Anime News Network's encyclopedia is the place to check.
Who makes the Jujutsu Kaisen anime
The anime is produced by MAPPA. Sunghoo Park directed Season 1 and the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film. Shota Goshozono directed Season 2, with Hiroshi Seko writing the scripts across both seasons and the movie. For Season 4, the June 2026 teaser named Takeru Sato as director. We'll add new cast credits for Season 3 and Season 4 characters as we verify them.
Where to watch JJK in Japanese or English
In the US, Crunchyroll streams every season with both the original Japanese audio and the English dub. The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is also available there. Dubbed episodes have sometimes arrived a little after the subtitled ones during a season's broadcast, so if you're watching week to week, the Japanese track is usually the faster option.
When the Season 3 and Season 4 casts are confirmed in official credits, we'll add those characters to the table. That includes Higuruma, Hakari, Kashimo and the Sendai players.
Why the JJK cast is so well liked
A lot of the main Jujutsu Kaisen characters are built on contrast. Gojo is goofy until he isn't. Nanami is dry until he snaps. Sukuna is calm while he does horrific things. That kind of writing puts a lot on the voice actors, because the shift has to happen inside a single line. The Japanese cast nails those turns, and it's a big reason clips from the anime travel so well online even among people who haven't seen the show.
See the table above for every verified credit.
