This page explains how we research, write and correct the character information on JJK Characters. It's here so you can judge for yourself how much to trust what you read.
Our sources, in order of trust
- Primary material. The manga chapters (VIZ Media's official English translation and the original Japanese release), the anime episodes and the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film.
- Official publications and announcements. The official character fanbook, the series' official websites and social accounts, and press releases from Shueisha, MAPPA, Toho, Crunchyroll and VIZ.
- Established news outlets. Anime News Network and similar publications that report on announcements and cast credits.
- Reference works such as Wikipedia, which we use for cross-checking and for the citations they point to.
- Fan wikis and databases (Jujutsu Kaisen Wiki on Fandom, AniList, MyAnimeList). Useful for leads, never enough on their own.
The rules we follow
- Two-source check. A fact from a fan wiki has to be backed by something higher on that list before we publish it as fact.
- No guessing. If the series doesn't give a height, age, grade or birthday, we write "Not stated" or leave the field out. We don't estimate.
- Exact references. Debuts and key events are tied to a specific chapter or episode wherever we can manage it.
- Original writing. Summaries and analysis are written by us. We don't copy text from wikis, official sites or other guides.
- Opinion is labeled as opinion. Power rankings and "strongest" lists are our take, and we say so. They're based on feats shown in the story.
- Spoilers are gated. Anything past the current anime is behind the spoiler switch or clearly marked as manga-only.
Fact-check audits
Beyond checking each new page, we run site-wide audits. In each one we re-check every claim, record its source and the result, and fix or remove anything that fails. Typical problems are dub credits copied from bad lists, character statuses that changed in late chapters, and names that only appear in one unofficial source. Our October 2026 audit corrected two English voice credits, updated four character statuses, filled in confirmed heights and removed one unverifiable character.
Updates
We revisit affected pages when new episodes air, when new chapters release and when official news breaks. Older pages get reviewed during audits even when nothing new has happened in the story.
Corrections
If something's wrong, email contact@jjkcharacters.net with "Correction" in the subject line. Give us the page, the problem and a chapter or episode reference if you have one. We read every report. Confirmed errors are fixed, usually within a few days. A report that turns out to be a translation difference or an anime-versus-manga change gets a note on the page instead.
Independence
We aren't paid by publishers, studios or streaming services to cover characters or rank them a certain way. If the site shows ads, advertisers have no say over what we write. See our advertising disclosure.
