Effective date: October 14, 2026
This policy explains what information JJK Characters ("we", "us") collects when you visit jjkcharacters.net, how it's used, and the choices you have. The short version: we don't have user accounts, we don't ask for your name to browse, and the only information you hand us directly is what you put in a message. Third-party services, mainly advertising and analytics, may collect data through cookies, and that's covered in detail below.
Who runs this site
This policy explains what JJK Characters collects and why. For any privacy question or request, contact contact@jjkcharacters.net.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you sign with and your message. We use it only to reply and to handle what you asked for, such as a correction or a copyright notice. We don't add you to a mailing list or sell your details.
Information collected automatically
- Server and security logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Analytics. We may use an analytics service (for example Cloudflare Web Analytics or Google Analytics) to see which pages are popular and how people find us. These tools collect things like pages visited, approximate location (country or city), device type and referring site. We only look at aggregate reports.
- Advertising data. If we run ads through Google AdSense, Google and its partners may collect data through cookies and similar technologies. Details are below.
Information stored only in your browser
The "Show spoilers" switch saves your choice in your browser's localStorage under the key jjk-spoilers. That value stays on your device. It's never sent to us, and you can clear it any time by clearing your site data.
Cookies and advertising
Our own pages don't need cookies to work. Third-party vendors may set cookies when ads or analytics are enabled:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' personalized ads at aboutads.info or, in the EU, youronlinechoices.eu.
- To learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), we'll show a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used. If you decline, you may still see non-personalized ads. Our cookie policy lists the cookie types in more detail.
Fonts and other third parties
Our fonts are self-hosted on our own domain, so loading them doesn't send your data to Google Fonts. The third parties that may receive data when you visit are Cloudflare (hosting and security), our analytics provider if enabled, Google and its advertising partners if ads are enabled, plus your own email provider and ours when you write to us. Links to other sites, such as VIZ, Crunchyroll or Wikipedia, are covered by those sites' own policies once you leave ours.
How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the site.
- To understand which pages are useful and fix ones that aren't.
- To reply to messages and act on corrections or copyright notices.
- To show ads that pay for hosting, if ads are enabled.
We don't sell personal information for money. Under the CCPA/CPRA, allowing advertising cookies can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; see the California section below.
Legal bases (GDPR and UK GDPR)
If you're in the EEA or the UK, we rely on: your consent for advertising and analytics cookies where consent is required; our legitimate interests in running a secure, working website and answering messages; and legal obligations where we have to keep or disclose information.
Your rights
EEA/UK residents can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port their personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, including for targeted advertising. You can opt out by declining personalized ads in the consent prompt, using Google Ads Settings, or enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. Other US states with similar laws (such as Virginia, Colorado and Connecticut) give similar rights, and we honor them the same way.
To make a request, email contact@jjkcharacters.net. We may need to confirm the request came from you, and we'll respond within the time the law requires (usually 30 to 45 days). Because we hold very little data, often the only data we have is a past email thread.
How long we keep data
Messages are kept as long as needed to deal with them, and generally no longer than two years unless a legal matter requires it. Analytics and advertising data is kept according to each provider's own retention settings.
Children's privacy
The site is for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). In line with COPPA, if you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, contact contact@jjkcharacters.net and we'll delete it. Jujutsu Kaisen contains violence and mature themes, and some of our pages describe them.
International visitors
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, they use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and hosted on infrastructure with standard security protections. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive personal information through the contact form.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change, for example when ads go live. The effective date at the top always shows the latest version.
